Hey friends and welcome to the January Gossamer Blue Blog Hop!

I posted this layout on Instagram earlier this week and I wanted to show you an up close photo of the embellishment area. I hope this layout inspires you to use a big photo (mine is 8.5"x11") as your background OR use someone else's photo in your layout. My brother's girlfriend took this while they were at the Oregon coast for Christmas and she snapped this while my brother was talking on the phone with our mom Christmas day. It's part of our holiday story and the photo is too beautiful to NOT include in my album.

Here is a closer look. I painted the wood veneer memory piece white so it would pop a little more on the page.

I also made a video this week showing the last 5 weeks of my Project Life album. I used only items from the January kits. And I apologize for it being a little long! :)

So first of all your layout is amazing and now I want to go and get a big photo printed and give this a try! Your result is gorgeous. I've always wanted to paint the veneer but then I worry I wont like it, but I love how the white turned out on your photo and now I'm convinced next kit I'm giving this a go.

I love, love, love that you do a video for your amazing project life spreads, it feels that little more personal and like you are sharing it over coffee.... If that isn't weird at all, haha!

Fabulous job on the page, it's a beautiful shot and you put just enough. Would have been easy to overdo this. But it's practically perfect, in every way! No, I didn't think that through so excuse my (Mary Poppins) line. I normally use just a couple of words for that reason.
