Happy Valentine's Day! Or ValenTIME'S Day as Mr. X calls it. I was surprised this morning by a chalkboard full of love. What a great way to start the day. We went to see the movie Red Tails tonight and it was fantastic.

Yesterday, Tonight, Tomorrow
Yesterday as I was leaving work I saw twinkle lights. I'm excited for the holidays. But why oh why do they start playing Christmas music on the radio before Thanksgiving?
Tonight Mr. X and I went on a date. To Starbucks. He even bought me a red velvet whoopie pie to go with my mocha. Friday nights sure have changed over the years. But I would take an evening like this over anything.
And tomorrow, Breaking Dawn.
Labor Day Weekend in Polaroids
Four days off in a row is definitely good for the soul.
This weekend...
We relaxed.
We ate junk food.
We drank strawberry daiquiris by the pool.
We tested our blood pressure.
We laughed.
We went estate sale shopping.
We went to the flea market.
We enjoyed time with friends.
We laughed some more.
We opened the windows and let fall in.
Saturday in the Park
Last night we went with some friends to see the Lake County Fielders play the Yuma Scorpions at the local Fielders Stadium not too far from our house. Although it is a minor league baseball team, it beats the drive and price to see the Chicago Cubs at Wrigley.
Plus, the Cubs don't have a tooth man to brush off the bases....
In the end we lost 8 - 3. But we did see some pretty good fireworks after the game which was a total surprise. I definitely think we'll be going again.
MKE + Summerfest
This weekend Mr. X and I headed up to Milwaukee for a little anniversary celebration. Our first stop was the Harley-Davidson Museum in downtown Milwaukee. It was phenomenal. Definitely up in my top 5 favorite museums.
This was one of Mr. X's favorite spots....the archives. More than 450 motorcycles in the collection that started in 1915. It was really cool.
This was my favorite spot....a wall full of vintage photographs of people with their Harley's. Love the look of it. Not something you would expect in a motorcycle museum.

After the museum we went for dinner and enjoyed drinks at a bar on the Milwaukee River. It was a beautiful night. And even though the color is so far off on this photo, it is one of my favoriets from the weekend. Maybe I'll convert it to black and white.
Saturday morning our friends came up to go to Summerfest with us.
Our favorite band of the day, the one we wanted to see the most, Stephen Marley played on the Harley-Davidson stage. We were able to shimmy our way up to about the 12th row. It was pretty great.
And to finish off the weekend, a 4th of July parade. We saw this driving through town to get to the parade. Happy 4th!
4 Years
4 years ago today Mr. X and I were married. It was a beautiful sunny day and I can remember every detail like it was yesterday. I am so lucky to have married my best friend and my soul mate. He has filled my life with fun and laughter and he has filled my heart with love. I am so blessed to have someone like him by my side and I love him more and more every single day.
