The 'this here' puffy sticker is from Evalicious. I think these are super cool and different. The entire Evalicious line is actually pretty awesome.
Turning the page, this is all week 13. I like the partial page protector and then another full Design B page protector.
I included some random paper that came into our home this week and the SUPER 4x6 card I cut in half to go across 2 pockets. The numbers on the card were stamped with Purple Onion Designs Diesel Number Set.
We took a little road trip at the end of the week so the right side was dedicated to that. I used Project Life cards from the Seafoam Edition and Midnight Edition.
This clear plastic card was also included in the Office Hours kit and I used it for a title card with some Thickers.
I actually forgot how much fun those pencils are with the water brush pen. I have one similar to this. You basically color with pencil and brush with the water pen. I stamped everything with red ColorBox chalk ink. The chalk ink is so soft looking on it's own and I think is pairs beautifully with the watercolor.
My favorite is the single heart below with the 'photo' sticker from Tim Holtz. I'm planning on using that stamp on my Valentine's cards.
Hello February and welcome to week 5 of my Project Life album!
I'm loving the flow of this years album so far. I'm definitely taking fewer photos right now but that always changes. Just like the seasons around here. I'm so happy with the photos I AM taking and embracing the simplicity of fewer photos, fewer embellishments, more journaling and more meaning.
In the upper right corner I included a card from my mom. I also included a polaroid I took with my Fujifilm Instax Mini. The cards in the middle are from Amy Tangerine's Project Life Mini Kit. The colors worked so well with my photos. The other two kraft cards I made with stamps from Purple Onion Designs.
And this photo is my favorite. I used Photoshop Elements to convert it to black and white and I think it is just awesome.
I just finished The Gifts of Imperfection by Brene Brown. It was excellent and inspiring. I love books like that every once in awhile. I also love that I've finished 2 books already and it's not even February. I'm hoping to read at least one book a month this year. That is HUGE for me. But I think I can do it.
I've been wanting to make a crochet rope basket since the beginning of December. Over the weekend I practiced at my friends house during our monthly craft day (which we just made up over the weekend that we would have a monthly craft day) and it was pretty cool. I followed this tutorial at Make My Day Creative to get it started. The basket above I started Sunday night and it's much better. If you know how to crochet it's pretty easy.
Purple Onion Designs has launched their new stamp shop that you can see here. I love the look and easy navigation. My recent favorite is the Plain Jane label set above.
I made a set of Project Life cards last April and I loved how they turned out and looked in my album. You can see them here. I think making cards ahead of time is a great to way to save time and get your layouts done quickly. Plus it's fun to play around with paper and stamps!
This time I used stamps from Purple Onion Designs and patterned paper I had on hand. Projects like this help me use what I have and that's always good.
I used kraft and white non-textured cardstock so they will be easy to journal on. The Circle Scallop Label below is a great stamp that could also be punched out like the Beaded Deco Circle Journal stamp just below it. That one I cut with my circle punch and adhered it to a piece of patterned paper. Such a great way to include your favorite paper and still be able to add journaling. The stars rating stamp is from the Foodie Set.
The patterned paper on the left is from Studio Calico and I used the Small Date Deco Circle stamp on a piece of kraft cardsotck then attached it with a brad. The star card on the right may be one of my favorites.
Below I used wood veneer pieces inside the Vintage Postmark Date Set. I will probably use these all in a row if I am documenting a weekend story or a series of weekend photos.
I'm excited to announce that I am a new design team member for Purple Onion Designs! I was part of the holiday design team and used several of their stamps in my December Daily album. I LOVE these stamps and I can't wait to see the new stuff Michele has for this year. Here is a sneak of some Project Life Cards I'm currently working on. Happy Friday!
