It's been awhile since I've shared some of my favorite things and I always love putting these lists together. I missed out on November and December so I'm combining the last three months into one winter edition.
Here we go....
Favorite New Craft I went to an arm knitting class a couple weeks ago with a few friends and had a total blast! I love to knit and crochet and was never really interested in arm knitting but I was totally interested in hanging out with some friends on a Sunday morning and learning something new. I made the big red cowl in class and it took less than 2 hours! The next night I made the smaller cowl above it with three different types of yarn. And then the NEXT night I made the super long skinny cowl on the right with two strands of the same yarn. Projects that you can finish while watching a movie TOTALLY RULE.
Favorite Book I'll Give You The Sun by Jandy Nelson This one I finished over the Christmas holiday and it was excellent. Emotional and quirky and I just loved it.
Favorite Boots I bought some new Tom's boots before Christmas when they were on sale (looks like they are on sale again!!) and they are my favorite boot this season. Super comfortable and great with any kind of jean or some tights.
Favorite Tights I am not a tights person and I think if you are a tights person you are super human because the only thing I like about tights is the feeling of taking them off. This winter I wanted to like tights so I searched the fabulous internet for the best pair and according to Lucky magazine Ultimate Opaque Matte Tights from Commando are one of the best. And I agree. WORTH. EVERY. PENNY. I could have worn them for 48 hours.
Mr. X's Favorite Thing Since we are talking winter favorites I thought I would add one of Mr. X's faves and that is O'Keefe's Working Hands Hand Cream. He loves this stuff and he has tried tons of different hand lotions. This time of year is all about the dry skin so I'm glad he found something that works.
Favorite Game I think I'm a little late to this one...Farkle. We played for the first time with my mom on Christmas Eve and totally enjoyed it. Can't wait to bring this on some camping trips in the summer.
Favorite Scrapbook Purchase This one is no surprise because I can't stop talking about it. The Ali Edwards Story Stamps and Kit are my recent favorite scrapbook purchase. This is how it showed up...how can you not fall in love??
