Saturday afternoon Mr. X and I headed out to a local estate sale we've been reading about for awhile. We were thrilled when we heard from a friend on Thursday who went that it was an old mansion near where Mr. X grew up. Even better. We love estate sales because we like hunting for interesting items. But we also love stepping into beautiful houses and maybe hearing the story of who lived there. Especially when the house looks like this...
It was beautiful. Probably built in the late 1800's/early 1900's. The lady who lived there was a flight nurse after World War 2 and they even had her helmet and uniform for sale. It was really cool.
Even the front door was amazing.
In the end l left with a beautiful scarf, some old postage labels, a wooden airplane stamp (never used), a crepe paper twister (because it was cool), an old patch, and some wooden spools to add to my collection. Hoping to make one of these once I collect enough.
